Tell a story for our writers

Volunteer writers for the Stories from the Sole project  interview individuals from all over to gather information and experiences in order to write the stories that help drive policy, funding, and personal inspiration.

We invite you to consider lending your voice to this project.  Just to make it easy, we've included a couple of "lead" questions (below) to inspire the thoughts to come right out of you.  Consider one or as many questions as you like.

Send your responses to our Stories from the Sole volunteer, Thomas: streetwave2280@gmail.com or email him to schedule an interview.

  • Do you feel safe as a pedestrian on foot or bicycle during the day and night?
  • Do you have access to your social and consumer needs without the use of an automobile?
  • If you travel by automobile, how long is your commute to your place of employment?
  • Does your area of work or residence support pedestrian activity?  Name one thing that would improve your comfort or enjoyment of being a pedestrian.
  • What personally meaningful spiritual or wellness practices do you set aside in the belief that your social or professional lifestyle demands too much of your time and energy?
  • What cities, settings, or communities across the world have you dreamed of visiting and what about them is alluring to you whether real or imagined?
