Feet First offers training, walking audits, checklist materials, a library, and even pedestrian technology innovations. This section of the web site will be expanded to include walkability checklists, and references that support pedestrian advocacy.
Read Feet First's one-page primer for how drivers can improve conditions for pedestrians. As an example of guidance, item number 2 on "Create a wide margin for error." When yielding, always stop at least 30 feet before the crosswalk. This can actually save both the driver and the pedestrian time while also increasing safety. Read more in the PDF document.
