City of Seattle Pedestrian Master Plan seeks comments through June 15th

Seattle Released their Draft Pedestrian Master Plan for public comments. Comments will be accepted until June 15th.

On May 6th, Seattle released their draft Pedestrian Master Plan for public review. This plan will be a guiding document for the Department of Transportation for years to come with the hopes of making Seattle the most walkable city in the nation.

This plan alone will not transform the City of Seattle into a walkable city. It will take continued public participation, people speaking up about equitably funding pedestrian issues, watchdogging policy, projects, and enforcement to make sure they stay true to the vision, and people continuing to demonstrate through action that they want Seattle to be walkable. Feet First will be working with you on all these fronts.

Please take some time to look at the Pedestrian Master Plan and provide comments. Comments will be collected between May 6th and June 15th, 2009. You can submit them through their online form, at mostwalkablecity@seattle.gov, or at 206-733-9970.
