PARK(ing) DAY in Seattle!
PARK(ing) Day is taking off in Seattle! Get ready for parks to sprout up all over the city on September 19th, 2008.
See the PRESS RELEASE sent out on August 20th, 2008.
PARK(ing) Day is a one-day, global event where artists, activists, and citizens collaborate to temporarily transform parking spots into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public parks.
This year's event is going to be an exciting one for the Emerald City. PARKs are planned across the city in Phinney, Georgetown, Columbia City, Capitol Hill, Fremont, Delridge, and of course downtown, where the Seattle Art Museum is hosting several spaces.
